Keller residents who have not yet responded to the 2020 Census can expect a visitor from the U.S. Census Bureau as soon as this weekend. Census officials shared today that the bureau has accelerated their schedule for Non-Response Follow-Ups in Tarrant County, kicking off their home visits on Saturday, Aug. 1.
During the Non-Respose Follow-Up portion of the Census program, also known as Enumeration, Census workers will visit every household in Tarrant County that has not already submitted their information.
If a Census Worker Comes to Your Door:
- They will present an ID badge with their name, photograph, a Department of Commerce watermark and an expiration date
- They will have an official bag and Census Bureau-issued laptop or smartphone, bearing the Census Bureau logo
- Census Workers will use personal protective equipment (masks, gloves) and will follow local public health COVID guidelines when they visit households, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.
The Census Bureau Will Never Ask For:
- Your Social Security Number, bank account or credit card numbers
- Anything on behalf of a political party
- Money or donations
If you suspect fraud, please call 844-330-2020 to speak with a Census Bureau Representative.
Not interested in visitors? Residents can still respond to the 2020 Census through other methods - online, by phone or mail - and their address will be removed from the follow-up lists upon receipt. For more information or to submit your Census information, visit
