Are you planning on hosting a special event? You may need to submit a Special Event Application (SPERT). See below to see if you need to submit a SPERT. 

 Types of events that need a SPERT  Types of events that do not need a SPERT
  • Event on City Property
  • Event that has food trucks, tents, and/or fireworks
  • Event that requires on-site EMS or Fire
  • Event that is serving alcohol
  • Event that requires on-site Police
  • Event that is requesting road closures
  • Event that is requesting the use of City of Keller resources:
  • Event is being held on private property, but will impact neighboring residents or businesses:
    • Loud music or entertainment (band, dj, etc.)
    • Parking
    • Large numbers of guests
    • Block parties
    • Family reunions
    • Parking lot sales
    • Fundraisers
    • Carnivals
    • Festivals

The above list is not a complete list of events that could require a SPERT. The SPERT Committee reserves the right to determine if an event requires a SPERT review. If a review is warranted by the committee, the applicant must complete the review process.

PERMITTED FOOD TRUCKS

Depending on the logistics of your event, you may need additional permits or applications. See below to see if any additional steps are necessary.

Plan on having food trucks?                                   

Contact Fire Rescue for an updated list of approved food vendors in the City of Keller. If you want a food truck that is not already approved, click here to see the approval process (food vendors cooking under a tent or catering need to check with fire to see what permits are needed). 

Planning your event in a park?
 You will need to fill our a Special Use Park Permit, pay a $100 refundable deposit, and provide liability insurance.
Plan on having a tent or membrane structure?
 You will need to fill out a Tent Permit.
Plan on having fireworks, pyrotechnic, or flame effect displays or productions?
 You will need to fill out a Pyrotechnics Permit.
Plan on needing an on-site police officer?
