The City of Keller is committed to the attraction, expansion and retention of high-quality projects in all parts of the community that diversify the tax base and enhance the quality of life for all citizens. To that end, the City of Keller will consider economic development incentives on a case-by-case basis in accordance with the City of Keller Economic Development Incentive Policy.
The city enters into economic development agreements authorized under Chapter 380 of the Texas Local Government Code. These agreements are planning tools designed to stimulate economic activity, redevelopment, community improvement, and provide a return on investment for the community. These programs abate or rebate property and/or sales taxes on investment for the incentive payments such as fee reductions or construction costs reimbursements. In fiscal year 2023, the City of Keller rebated $206,242 in ad valorem and hotel occupancy taxes, equating to $4.90 per capita.*
*Per capita amounts based on FY2023 population of 46,454.
