2007 Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Master Plan
In July 2006, Keller Parks and Recreation hired consultants Halff and Associates, Inc. to develop a new Parks, Recreation and Open Space Master Plan for the City of Keller and its citizens. This document would facilitate the parks, facilities, and open space development of the Parks and Recreation Department for the next 5-10 years. Halff and Associates, Inc. worked closely with the Parks and Recreation Board and staff to develop the master plan.
After almost a year and a half in development, including a telephone survey, facility users' input, site data collection, public meetings for citizen input and analysis of all these components, the final document was presented to the Parks and Recreation Board and City Council in October 2007. The City Council approved the document at their October 2, 2007 meeting by Resolution No. 2597.
