The City of Keller provides water service to approximately 16,000 accounts by purchasing water from the City of Fort Worth at an average of 238 million gallons each month.
Keller, 18 other cities and the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport are contract parties with the Central Regional Wastewater System of the Trinity River Authority (TRA) for the treatment of all wastewater generated by Keller residents.

My Utility Bill:
Water and wastewater services are administered through Utility Billing Customer Service, located in Keller Town Hall at 1100 Bear Creek Parkway. If you have questions or concerns about your utility bill, call Utility Billing Customer Service at 817-743-4060, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, excluding observed major holidays. After business hours, the 24-hour emergency dispatch phone number is 817-743-4200.
Utility bills are due 15 days after the billing date and are delinquent three days after the due date. Any unpaid balance is subject to a 10 percent penalty. Customers are at risk for termination of service (cut off) for non-payment after the due date.
Drainage Utility Fee: The stormwater drainage utility fee is a monthly user fee that pays for maintenance, improvements to the stormwater drainage system and other water program activities. This fee is similar to other utility fees for water, sewer and garbage.
All residential utility customers within the Keller city limits must pay a monthly stormwater drainage fee of $7 per month. Non-residential and multifamily utility customers pay a monthly fee based on the amount of hard surface area on the property. Hard surface area includes buildings, sidewalks, driveways and parking lots. For non-residential and multifamily customers, the minimum monthly fee is $7 with a maximum fee of $56.77 per month.
Residential Water Rates: Water usage varies a great deal from home to home, depending on the water consumption habits of all occupants.
The minimum water rate is $23.35 per month for a standard sized meter.
- Between 0 and 2,000 gallons, the rate is $3.48 per 1,000 gallons;
- Between 2,001 and 10,000 gallons, the rate is $4.76 per 1,000 gallons;
- Between 10,001,and 20,000 gallons, the rate is $5.19 per 1,000 gallons;
- Between 20,001 and 25,000 gallons, the rate is $5.78 per 1,000 gallons;
- Between 25,001 and 40,000 gallons, the rate is $7.30 per 1,000 gallons; and
- Over 40,000 gallons, the rate is $7.89 per 1,000 gallons.
Non-Residential Water Rates:
The minimum water rate is $23.35 per month for a standard sized meter.
- Between 0 and 2,000 gallons, the rate is $3.48 per 1,000 gallons;
- Between 2,001 and 10,000 gallons, the rate is $4.76 per 1,000 gallons;
- Between 10,001 and 20,000 gallons, the rate is $5.96 per 1,000 gallons;
- Between 20,001 and 25,000 gallons, the rate is $6.82 per 1,000 gallons;
- Between 25,001 and 40,000 gallons, the rate is $7.30 per 1,000 gallons; and
- Over 40,000 gallons, the rate is $7.89 per 1,000 per gallons.
Water wholesale rate increase:
In accordance with the wholesale rate pass-through ordinance adopted upon second reading by the City Council (Ordinance No. 1491) on March 2, 2010, the wholesale pass-through water rate has been calculated for the Fort Worth Water Department fiscal year ended Sept. 30, 2022.
Residential Wastewater Rates:
The monthly residential rate is $16.86, with a monthly volume charge of $5.42 per 1,000 gallons. The volume amount calculated for residential customers is based on the average monthly water consumption during the winter months of December, January and February. This average is effective the first billing in April every year.
Monthly Non-Residential Wastewater Rates:
The monthly non-residential rate is $16.86, for a standard size meter with a monthly volume charge of $5.42 per 1,000 gallons. The volume amount calculated for non-residential customers is based on the monthly water consumption.
